  One of the targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning is to “... substantially increase the supply of qualified teachers through international cooperation for teacher training in developing countries...” by 2030. Education Beyond Borders, a Canadian registered charity (85909 6190RR0001) active since 2006, has always taken a systemic approach by building the capacity of teacher leaders as the key to improving the delivery of quality education for all children. We use a cost-effective and sustainable train-the-trainer model to develop leadership and facilitation skills among teachers and to promote the implementation of student-centered methodologies in the classroom.
