Gender equality
An important objective of the Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. The Society has put in place the following initiatives to reach this objective: 1. All-girls mathematical camp in consultation with youth outreach groups to ensure the participation of girls from underprivileged groups. 2. All-girls training camps and supporting the Girls' Math team participating in the European Grils' Mathematical Olympiad. 3. Providing childcare at CMS semi-annual meetings to encourage and facilitate the participation of women students and mathematicians.

Reduced inequalities
The Canadian Mathematical Society's mission is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The Society has put in place a few initiatives towards this objective. This includes: 1. Mathematical camp for Black students to encourage participation in math and STEM activities. 2. Specialty camps for students in Northern and Indigenous communities. 3. Sponsoring participation of Black and Indigenous students in CMS' national math competitions. 4. Formation of a reconciliation committee to oversee the CMS' efforts towards equity for Indigenous students and mathematicians, and much more.
