About

The West Island Cancer Wellness Centre (WICWC) is here for you. Whether you are navigating your own diagnosis or supporting someone you love, we provide compassionate care and essential support tailored to your journey. As a registered charity, our welcoming Centre in the West Island of Montreal offers in-person programs, while our virtual classes connect individuals across Canada. At WICWC, no one living with cancer is ever alone.

Our mission is to empower individuals living with cancer by offering them compassionate support and thorough information across the 7 Pillars of Wellness. These pillars encompass Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Informational, Systemic, Practical, and Social aspects of well-being.

We are committed to offering an inclusive environment where anyone living with cancer feels welcome, safe and empowered to learn to live well with cancer, regardless of social status, age, race, gender, culture, religion and sexuality.

At the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre, we take a whole-person approach that complements traditional treatments, helping individuals living with cancer regain control of their well-being. While we support cancer patients, we do not provide medical treatment or clinical therapies. Our focus is on wellness and quality of life.

Cancer affects more than just the body—it touches emotions, relationships, and daily life. Our programs provide support, community, and resources to help navigate these challenges.

Our services are FREE and offered remotely or in person by a team of professional experts who volunteer their knowledge and resources. Our resource lists are designed to support children, teenagers, and young adults, as well as their caregivers, teachers, and bereaved loved ones.
