About
Namo Buddha Foundation (NBF) is a Canadian registered charitable organization founded by a Buddhist monk, Ven.Thrangu Rinpoche, to support schools, monasteries, retreat centres, monastic colleges, and medical clinics in the Himalayas. All NBF personnel are unpaid volunteers. Visit the NBF Website: https://www.namobuddhacanada.org
All donated Aeroplan miles go to Shree Mangal Dvip School for Himalayan Children (SMD) in Kathmandu (www.himalayanchildren.org). SMD provides free education, housing and full care to over 500 children from the most vulnerable and remote Himalayan mountain villages of northern Nepal. Every year, a few of the top senior students have the opportunity to compete for scholarships at independent schools abroad to finish grades 11 and 12. Your donated miles will allow them to travel to the school and back home to Nepal during holidays, to reconnect with their culture and community to share what they’ve learned.
