Miles donated were used to assist Tsilhqot'in Nation Elders as they undertake a journey from their homeland in BC to appear before the Supreme Court of Canada on Nov. 7, 2013 seeking recognition of Aboriginal title for the first time in Canadian history. On the first day of our campaign, we surpassed our goal of 100K miles. On the second day we had 250K miles donated! Even afterour campaign was shut down, the miles did not stop coming in. With the donated miles, RAVEN was able to purchase 30 hotel rooms for the elders. That translates to a savings for the Tsilqhot'in of $3787!! The Elders Express is officially on its way. They left Williams Lake BC this morning - first stop Calgary!
