The Latitude Project is a grassroots organization started by two sisters that empowers Latin American communities to build solutions to their greatest needs.
Projects evolve naturally : we ask what people need and listen when they answer.
We work together. We find unique solutions for each community and involve villages at large. Our projects are locally embraced and sustained over time because they are defined and built by the people who need them.
We challenge outdated aid models that take presumptuous approaches and often overlook what is needed most. Rather than using guilt tactics and images of desperation, we highlight the whole truth: the beauty, the resourcefulness and the vibrancy of communities throughout Latin America.
We embolden what we can do instead of what we cannot, and we empower communities to be the agents of their own change.
The Latitude Project runs with a 100% model, where all public donations are used for on-the-ground project costs. Your support can alleviate some of the financial strains of getting to Latin America to complete these initiatives.
