Virtual Marine Biology Field Camp
Helping kids while schools are closed

During these "strong germ days," kids (including our own) are stuck at home. We've launched a Virtual Marine Biology Field Camp to use this time to talk about whales, dolphins, salmon, sharks, and other marine biology topics. Every Monday and Thursday, at 11 am (west coast time), we go live on Facebook and Instagram (@oceansinitiative) to answer kids' questions.

It's been so heart-warming to see our community grow exponentially at a time when we're all confined to our homes. Thank you for supporting our efforts to keep whale and dolphin habitats clean, quiet, and full of fish.

PS Thank you to all of you who have been donating your Aeroplan miles during these turbulent times. As soon as it's safe to go back into the field, we'll be putting those miles to good use to fly observers to our field site, rent cars, and stay in the many hotels that accept Aeroplan miles. Please share our page with anyone you know who loves the ocean, and may not be using all of their Aeroplan miles. Those donations mean an awful lot to a small nonprofit like ours. Thank you!
