This November, Earth Day Canada held a public screening of Project Wild Thing, an entertaining and enlightening documentary about the challenges of getting kids into nature. The screening was held in Toronto.
Over 200 excited kids, youth, educators, and community and environmental leaders attended the screening and follow up panel discussion. Panelists included the film's director and producer, David Bond and Ashley Jones, Brenda Simon from PLAYByNature and Earth Day Canada's own Saira Ansari. The event built awareness around the issue of nature connection and the need to get kids outside.
Thanks to the generous support of the Aeroplan Beyond Miles program, Earth Day Canada was able to bring both the documentary and its director and producer to Toronto. David and Ashley were blown away by the turn out and encouraged all audience members to join the Wild Network!
In addition to the Toronto screening, Earth Day Canada's President Deb Doncaster and Vice-President Ayal Lesh participated in the panel discussion that followed the screening of Project Wild Thing in Calgary. Again, thanks to your support!
