As we wrap up the final year of our three year strategic plan, we’re both energized by the progress we’ve made and deeply grateful to the people who made it possible. Your unwavering support has fuelled our mission and strengthened our ability to tackle hunger and food waste in every community across Canada. Because of you, in 2025 Second Harvest rescued and redistributed 95.3 million pounds of surplus food, ensuring that fresh, healthy food reached the people who needed it most. This food supported more than 10,800 nonprofit programs and nourished 6.8 million individuals from coast to coast. 

These numbers tell an important story, and they represent so much more than logistics or volume. A meal is more than just food. It’s nourishment for the body, comfort for the spirit and a powerful reminder that someone cares. Every meal we rescue and share is a symbol of dignity, resilience and community.
