Billy is a 54 year old man who has been HIV positive for 29 years and now finds himself living in a nursing home in Ontario, suffering from dementia, and AIDS-related conditions that have compounded to bring him to the end of his life. His family in New Brunswick reached out to see if Give A Mile could bring Billy back to his mother and 2 sisters for his final days.  According to his sister, Billy phones their 82 year old mother every day crying to come home. 

Give A Mile has answered Billy’s cries and has approved a flight for him and a caregiver to travel back to New Brunswick, into the loving arms of the family members who haven’t seen him in 6 years.
